REKA demo on Steam
The REKA demo is free on Steam and introduces the first chapter, including the start of house building. It is not a free full-game edition.
Official download: open REKA on Steam and select Download Reka Demo. The demo app record identifies free app 1783630. Its original 9 May 2024 release field is not the refreshed build date. The 29 September demo announcement and Shochiku announcement identify the 29 September 2026 return.
Content scope (single developer source): the 29 September demo announcement describes woodland exploration, witchcraft and starting a chicken-legged home in the first chapter. The paid 26 October launch announcement contains the completed story and later content.
Save transfer remains unconfirmed for the refreshed 2026 demo. Fireshine's early-access FAQ says demo/playtest progress does not carry over, but it also contains superseded 2025-launch and Deck information. Copies of that same old policy are not independent confirmation of a 2026 policy. Do not rely on a demo save becoming a full-game save.
Demo requirements list i5-4460, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1060 6GB and 1 GB available space, plus an old Windows 7-or-higher field. This one-source metadata is not a current compatibility test or proof that modern Steam supports Windows 7. Full-game requirements instead list Windows 10 64-bit, 16 GB RAM and 10 GB available space.
The 1 GB demo and 10 GB full-game fields are free-space requirements, not measured downloads or installed-file sizes. No current download-size estimate is supplied. Steam lists nine demo languages including Simplified Chinese (single platform source).
